Chickpeas Sundal Recipe

White Chickpeas – 200 gms
Curry Leaves – few
Asafoetida Powder – a pinch
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

Dry roast and grind to a powder:
Coriander Seeds – 1 tsp
Bengal Gram Dal – 1 tsp
Dry Red Chillies – 2

1. Soak the chickpeas overnight and drain well.
2. Pressure cook with little salt and enough water until 2 whistles.
3. Drain water and keep aside.
4. Heat little oil in a pan.
5. Add mustard seeds and fry till it splutters.
6. Add the chickpeas, ground powder, asafoetida powder, curry leaves and mix well.
7. Stir for a minute.
8. Remove and serve.
