Ingredients:
Oats – 1 1/2 cups
Samba Rawa – 1/2 cup
Onions – 1/2 cup, diced
Green Chillies – 3, chopped
Green Peas – 1/2 cup, cooked
Tamarind Extract – 2 1/2 cups
Jaggery – optional, grated
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – for frying
For Seasoning:
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal – 1 tsp
Bengal Gram Dal – 2 tsp
Broken Cashewnuts – 10
Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs
Asafoetida Powder – 1/4 tsp
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add the seasoning ingredients and fry for 15 seconds.
3. Add the green chillies and onions.
4. Fry till onions turns transparent.
5. Add peas, tamarind extract, salt, and jaggery.
6. When it starts boiling add rawa and cook in medium flame for 3 minutes.
7. Add oats and cook in low flame for further 5 minutes.
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot.
