Green Gram – 4 cups
Salt – 2 tsp or as required
Oil – 1/4 cup
Mustard – 2 tsp
Red Chillies – 6 to 8
Asafoetida – pinch
Curry Leaves – few
Coconut – 1/2, grated

1. Roast the gram and soak it for 30 to 45 minutes.
2. Wash and cook it in boiling water.
3. Drain out the extra water when it is 3/4 th cooked.
4. Add salt and stir.
5. Drain out the water.
6. Add the seasonings and fry.
7. Garnish with curry leaves and grated coconut.
8. Serve.
