Steamed Cabbage

Cabbage – 400 gms, finely shredded
Vegetable Oil – 1 tbsp
Onion – 1, medium, sliced
Garlic – 3 cloves, minced (optional)
Green chilli – 1, minced
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Coconut – 3 tbsp, grated

1. Heat the oil in a pan.
2. Add the onion and garlic and saute for 3 minutes till soft.
2. Add the cabbage, green chilli and salt.
3. Mix well.
4. Cover with a deep metal lid.
5. Pour some water on the lid and cook the cabbage in its own juices for 10 minutes till soft, but not mushy.
6. Add the coconut and mix well.
7. Serve hot.
