Idli Upma
Ingredients:
Idlies – 1 cup (leftover or fresh), crumbled
Onion – 1/2, chopped
Bengal Gram Dal – 1/4 tsp
Tomato – 1/2, chopped
Green Chilli – 1, small, finely sliced
Curry Leaves – 2 to 3
Giner – 1/4 tsp, grated
Coriander Leaves – few, chopped
Salt as per taste
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – a small pinch
Asafoetida Powder – a small pinch

Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Fry the mustard seeds till it starts to splutter.
3. Add asafoetida powder, dal, turmeric powder and onions.
4. Stir-fry till onions turn light brown.
5. Add the ginger, tomatoes, green chilli and curry leaves.
6. Mix well and add the crumbled idlies.
7. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
8. Add salt and mix again.
9. Cook for 2 minutes and transfer to a serving dish.
10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
11. Serve.

i make stir fry idli just like how you make noodles and my children just vanish all in a jiffy…
