Ingredients:
Soya Beans – 1 tblsp, soaked for 4 hours
Onions – 1 tblsp, finely chopped
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Sambar Powder – 2 tsp
Tamarind Extract – 1 cup
Salt as per taste
Oil as required
For Tempering:
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal – 1 tsp
Bengal Gram Dal – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves – few
Method:
1. Add salt, turmeric powder and sambar powder to tamarind extract.
2. Place it over medium flame.
3. Drain the soya beans and add to the tamarind.
4. Bring to a boil.
5. Heat little oil in a frying pan.
6. Fry the tempering ingredients for 30 to 45 seconds.
7. Add the onions and saute for another 30 seconds.
8. Add to the sambar and stir well.
9. Simmer for a minute and remove.
10. Serve hot.
