A favourite Chaat recipe that is quite popular with young and old alike. Sweet, salty and spicy, this is a must have during the hot Summer days.
Ingredients:
Potatoes – 2, boiled, cubed
Sev – 1/4 cup
Chaat Masala Powder – 3/4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/4 tsp
Green Chutney for Chaat – as required
Plain Curd – 1 cup, thick
Coriander Leaves – few, chopped
Salt as per taste
Sugar – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – little
Puris – 10 to 20 (available readymade), crushed
Method:
1. Mix curd, salt and sugar in a bowl.
2. Arrange the puris on a plate.
3. Top up wth the potatoes, chaat masala powder, red chilli powder and cumin powder.
4. Pour 2 to 3 tsp of green chutney and curd on top.
5. Garnish with sev and coriander leaves.
6. Serve at once.
Alternate Method:
1. Do not crush the puris. Instead make a small hole in the puri (just like pani puri).
2. Mix the potatoes, chaat masala powder, red chilli powder, coriander leaves and cumin powder.
3. Stuff the puris with this mixture.
4. Pour the green chutney and curd on top.
5. Garnish with sev and coriander leaves.
6. Serve at once.
