Ingredients:
Onion – 5, medium sized
Potatoes – 1/2 kg
Green Chillies – 8
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblsp
Tomatoes – 4
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil – 2 tblsp
Lemon – 1
Bengal Gram Dal – 1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Black Gram Dal – 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves – few

Method:
1. Peel skin from onion and potatoes.
2. Cut into 1 inch long thin slices.
3. Slit green chillies into two.
4. Cut tomatoes as finely as possible.
5. Heat oil and add the mustard seeds, curry leaves and the two dals.
6. Fry ginger garlic paste, green chillies and then the chopped onions.
7. Fry till the onions become translucent.
8. Add the potatoes and fry for few minutes.
9. Pour enough water to cover it.
10. Mix salt and turmeric powder.
11. Cover and keep in a medium flame.
12. Add tomatoes and stir well.
13. Boil till the gravy becomes thick and potatoes are cooked well.
14. Squeeze out lemon juice and garnish with the coriander leaves.
