Ingredients:
Rolled Oats – 1 1/2 cups
Fine Bombay Rava – 1/2 cup
Water – 2 1/4 cups
Salt – 1 tsp
Lemon – 1
Oil – for frying
Onions – 1/2 cup, finely cut
Green Chillies – 2, slit
Fresh Peas – 1/2 cup
Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp, chopped
For Seasoning:
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad Dhal – 1 tsp
Chana Dhal – 1 1/2 tsp
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add the seasonings and the onion and green chillies.
3. Saute until onions turn golden.
4. Add peas and fry well.
5. Pour water, salt and allow to boil.
6. Add rava. Cook for 2 minutes and then mix oats.
7. Cook in reduced flame until upma gets a shine and moisture gets absorbed.
8. Squeeze lemon juice.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot.
