Methi Dal

Ingredients:
Whole Green Gram – 1/3 cup
Fenugreek Leaves – 5 bunches
Dhania Powder – 1 tblsp
Jeera Powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 1 tblsp
Salt as required
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida Powder – little
Lemon – 1
Green Chillies – 2, slit lengthwise

Method:
1. Soak gram for 5 to 6 hours and pressure cook till one whistle.
2. Wash and chop fenugreek leaves and sprinkle little salt. Keep aside.
3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add cumin seeds, slit chillies, asafoetida and fenugreek leaves.
4. Fry for 2 minutes, add dhania, jeera powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, salt and then pour cooked dal in it.
5. Cook for a few minutes. Squeeze lemon and remove from fire.
6. Serve hot.

WHAT TO DO WITH SALTED FENUGREEK LEAF…IS NOT DESCRIBED IN THE RECEIPE. POORLY WRITTEN RECEIPE….DEFINATELY CAN’T MAKE A GOOD DISH OUT OF A HALF DESCRIBED RECEIPE
