Chocolate Ginger Brownies

Simple and rich brownies made with dark chocolate and ginger.  Ideal for any occasion.
Chocolate Ginger Brownies

Dark Chocolate – 175 to 200 gms, broken
Plain Flour – 1 1/4 cups
Caster Sugar – 2 cups
Cocoa Powder – 1/2 cup
Butter – 1 cup, unsalted + extra
Nutmeg Powder – 1 tsp
Ginger – 2 tsp, grated
Ginger Powder – 1 tsp
Clove Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp

1. Heat a pan over low flame.
2. Add chocolate and butter.
3. Stir gently until fully dissolved.
4. Remove from flame and cool.
5. Add all the other ingredients and mix well until smooth.
6. Pour this into a greased baking pan.
7. Place this into a preheated oven at 170C and bake for 30 minutes.
8. Insert a skewer into the center and if it comes out clean, then it is cooked.
9. Allow it to cool and cut into slices.
10. Serve.
