Ruwagan Gadh

Fish cooked in Tomato Gravy / Ruwagan Gadh
Ingredients:
White Fish – 250 gms, cubed
Cinnamon – 2 one inch sticks
Fried Onion Paste – 3/4 tblsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Paste – 1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
Tomato Puree – 1 cup
Ver Paste – 1/2 tblsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Cloves – 4
Green Cardamom – 3
Black Cardamom – 3
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Oil – 1/2 cup
Black Cumin Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Heat little oil in a pan.
2. Fry the fish till reddish brown and keep aside.
3. Heat oil in a pan.
4. Add the tomato puree, ver paste and ginger garlic paste.
5. Fry for 2 minutes.
6. Add cloves, green cardamoms, black cardamoms, turmeric powder, cinnamon sticks, fried onion paste, red chilli paste, salt and water.
7. Mix well and bring to a boil.
8. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
9. Add the fried fish and reduce heat to low.
10. Bring to a boil again and add black pepper powder, black cardamom powder and black cumin seeds.
11. Mix well and simmer till oil rises to the surface.
12. Serve hot.
