Tomato Sag

Ingredients:
Onions – 6
Garlic – 10 flakes
Tomatoes – 1/2 kg
Dhania – 1 tblsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Red Chillies – 7
Poppy Seeds – 1 tblsp
Coconut – 2 tblsp, grated
Roasted Gram – 1 1/2 tblsp
Coriander Leaves – few
Oil – 2 tblsp
Salt as per taste
Sugar – 1 tsp

Method:
1. Cut onions and garlic finely.
2. Boil tomatoes with enough water to cover it for 5 minutes.
3. When it is cool, strain the water, peel the skin and grind it.
4. Pass through a sieve.
5. Fry dhania, jeera and red chillies in little oil.
6. Dry roast poppy in a pan till brown.
7. Add scraped coconut, roasted gram along with roasted ingredients and grind to a smooth paste.
8. Heat oil in a pan.
9. Season with mustard, add chopped garlic and fry till brown.
10. Add the onions and fry till translucent.
11. Pour tomato juice, ground mixture, salt and sugar.
12. Boil till it becomes thick.
13. Garnish with coriander leaves.
14. Serve hot.
