Chicken in Green Sauce

Ingredients:
Chicken – 500 gms, boneless
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
8 to 9 Sauce – 2 tblsp
Coriander Leaves – 2 1/2 cups
Onions – 2 (one medium and one small), chopped
Green Chillies – 3
Garlic – 12 cloves, chopped
Ginger – 1/2 inch, chopped
Cloves – 10
Black Peppercorns – 10
Cinnamon – 2 one inch sticks
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Poppy Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cashew Nuts – 8
Oil – 4 tblsp
Tomato Ketchup – 2 tblsp
Chicken Stock – 1 1/2 cups
Salt to taste

Method:
1. Wash and cut the chicken into small pieces.
2. Marinate in a mixture of salt, turmeric powder and 8 to 9 sauce for 15 minutes.
3. Grind the coriander leaves, medium sized onion, green chillies, garlic, ginger, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon, cumin seeds, poppy seeds and cashew nuts with 1/2 cup of water to a fine paste.
4. Heat the oil in a frying pan and saute the remaining onion till it changes colour.
5. Add the chicken and cook till it is partially cooked.
6. Add the spice paste, tomato ketchup, chicken stock and salt.
7. Cook till the chicken is tender.
8. Serve hot.
