Reshmi Paneer Tikka Recipe

Paneer – 500 gms, cubed

For the Marinade:
Green Chillies – 2, chopped
Cardamoms – 2 to 3, peeled
Cloves – 4 to 5, crushed
Coriander Leaves – 1 tblsp, chopped
Oil – 1 tblsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tblsp
Drained Yogurt – 1/2 cup
Thick Cream – 1/4 cup
Garlic Ginger Paste – 1/2 tsp
Besan Gram Flour – 1/4 cup
Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Chaat Masala – 1/2 tsp
Tandoori Masala – 1 tsp

For Garnish:
Oil – 1 tblsp
Onions – 2, large, cubed
Capsicums – 2, cubed
Tomatoes – 2, deseeded and cubed
Salt to tase
Lemon Juice – 1 tblsp
Chaat Masala – 1/2 tblsp

Oil or Butter – 3 tblsp, for basting

1. Put the green chillies, cardamoms, cloves and coriander leaves in a blender and grind into a smooth paste.
2. Transfer to a bowl, stir in the rest of the marinade ingredients.
3. Add the paneer and marinate for 1 hour.
4. Transfer the paneer to a preheated grill and grill for 10 to 15 minutes or until the paneer turns golden brown. Keep basting with butter or oil whenever needed.
5. Transfer the paneer to a nonstick pan and saute lightly till the marinade is absorbed.
6. Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onions, capsicums and tomatoes.
7. Season them with salt, lemon juice and chaat masala.
8. Arrange the vegetables in a circle on a serving platter and place the paneer in the centre.
9. Serve hot with green chutney.
