Chiffon Cake

Ingredients:
Eggs – 5, separated
Cream of Tartar – 1/2 tsp
All Purpose Flour – 2 1/4 cups, sifted
Sugar – 1 1/2 cups
Bakin Powder – 1 tblsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Water – 3/4 cup
Vegetable Oil – 1/2 cup
Vanilla – 1 tsp
Almond Extract – 1 tsp

To Garnish:
Strawberries
Kiwi Fruit
Whipped Cream

Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 325F.
2. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar at high speed with electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
3. Set aside.
4. Sift together dry ingredients into large bowl.
5. Make a well in flour mixture.
6. Add egg yolks, water, oil and flavourings. Mix well.
7. Fold in egg white mixture.
8. Immediately pour into ungreased 10 inch tube pan. Bake for 55 minutes.
9. Increase oven temperature to 350F.
10. Continue baking for 10 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched with finger.
11. Invert pan and allow cake to cool completely before removing from pan.
12. Garnish as desired.
