Mysore Dhall Mixture

This mixture is also called as Black Masoor Dal Mixture or Mysore Dal Mixture.
Mysore Dhall Mixture

Ingredients:
Black Masoor Dal – 1 cup
Gram Flour – 1 cup
Raw Rice Flour – 1/2 cup
Cashewnuts – few
Dry Melon Seeds – few
Garam Masala Powder – little
Red Chilli Powder as per taste
Salt as per taste
Oil as required

Method:
1. Soak the dal for 5 to 6 hours.
2. Drain the water.
3. Heat oil in a pan.
4. Fry the dal and remove.
5. In a large bowl mix the gram flour, rice flour, salt and little water.
6. Mix well till thick.
7. Add the dough to a ompodi press and gently squeeze over hot oil.
8. Fry till golden and remove.
9. Separately fry the cashewnuts and melon seeds.
10. Combine the ompodi, dal, cashewnuts, melon seeds, garam masala powder, red chilli powder and salt in a bowl.
11. Toss well until combined.
12. Serve.
