Padhaneer Kozhukattai

Raw Rice – 1 kg
Padhaneer (Neera) – 2 litres
Jaggery – 500 gms
Coconut – 1, finely chopped

1. Soak the rice for an hour or two and drain.
2. Then grind to a smooth flour.
3. Add 1 litre padhaneer, 250 gms jaggery and coconut.
4. Mix well to a thick dough.
5. Prepare kozhukattais and keep aside.
6. Add the remaining jaggery to the padhaneer and bring to a boil.
7. Add the kozhukattais and simmer till it is cooked.
8. Remove and serve.
