Cabbage and Mocha Kottai Gravy Recipe

Cabbage – 1 cup, grated
Green Mocha Kottai (Field Beans) – 1/2 cup
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Tomato – 1
Onion – 1
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander Leaves – few, chopped
Oil as required
Salt as per taste

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Fry the cumin seeds for 30 seconds.
3. Add the onions, tomato and saute well.
4. Add ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
5. Stir well.
6. Add the mocha kottai, cabbage and stir-fry for a minute or two.
7. Pour enough water and bring to a boil.
8. Add salt and stir to mix well.
9. Cook till most of the water has evaporated.
10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
11. Serve with rice, roti, idli or dosa.
