Sopa Grossa (Hearty Chicken Soup) Recipe

Chicken – 250 gms, boneless
Potato – 1, medium
Carrot – 1, small
Shelled Green Peas – 2 tblsp
Macaroni – 2 tblsp
Oil – 2 tblsp
Onion – 1, medium, finely chopped
Tomato – 1, medium, finely chopped
Chicken Stock – 4 cups
Chicken Stock Cube – 1
White Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste

1. Cut the chicken into small pieces.
2. Peel and cut the potato and carrot into small cubes.
3. Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onion till it changes colour.
4. Add the tomato and cook till soft.
5. Add the chicken and saute for two minutes.
6. Add the stock, potato, carrot, green peas and macaroni.
7. Boil till the chicken and vegetables are tender.
8. Add the stock cube, white pepper powder and salt to taste.
9. Bring to boil.
10. Remove from heat and Serve hot.

    You can use standard Britannia cheese that you get in the super market.
