Methi Muthias

Ingredients:
Fenugreek Leaves – 2 cups, chopped
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Sour Curds – 1/2 to 1 1/2 tblsp
Gram Flour – 1 cup
Wheat Flour – 1 tblsp

Grind or Mince Fine
Green Chillies – 3 to 4
Garlic – 3 to 4 cloves
Ginger – 1/4 inch piece

For Seasoning:
Oil – 1 tblsp
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Asafoetida – a big pinch
Curry Leaf – 1 sprig, chopped

For Garnish
Coconut – 1 tblsp, grated
Coriander Leaves – 1 tblsp, chopped

Method:
1. Mix all ingredients together, except those of seasoning and garnish, to form a smooth dough.
2. Divide dough into 4 and make rolls from each portion.
3. Steam cook these rolls in a pressure cooker without the weight.
4. Cool, cut into 1/2 inch circles and arrange these on a serving plate.
5. Heat oil, add seasonings and when done, pour over muthias.
6. Garnish with coconut and coriander leaves.
7. Serve as a snack.
