Beetroot, Halwa

Beetroot Halwa

Ingredients:
Beetroot – 1 cup, grated
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Ghee – 3 tblsp
Cashewnuts – 1 tblsp, finely chopped
Unsweetened Khoya – 1 tblsp

Method:
1. Fry the grated beetroot in ghee for 2 minutes.
2. Add enough water to cover and cook till soft.
3. Mix sugar and cook till halwa consistency is reached.
4. Add crumbled khoya when halwa is 3/4th cooked.
5. Add 1 tblsp of gheejust before removing from fire.
6. Garnish with fried cashewnuts.
