  • 1/2 cup Whole Mung Beans
  • 2 tbsp Whole Moth Beans
  • 2 tbsp Whole Black Channa
  • 2 tbsp Whole Masoor Dal
  • 3 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Green Chilli (slit)
  • 1/2 inch Ginger (julienned)
  • Curry Leaves (few)
  • 1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Jaggery (grated)
  • 2 tbsp Coconut (grated)
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves (chopped)
  • 1 Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 Lemon (cut into wedges)
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • Salt as per taste


  • Heat oil in a pan over low flame.
  • Fry the mustard seeds until they start to splutter.
  • Add the ginger, curry leaves, green chillies and turmeric powder.
  • Fry for 10 seconds.
  • Add the mixed sprouts, salt and jaggery.
  • Stir well and sprinkle some water (not more than 2 to 3 tblsp).
  • Increase flame and cover the pan with a lid.
  • Cook for 5 minutes or until soft.
  • Remove the lid and cook till all water has evaporated.
