Kosambari Recipe

Green Gram Dal (de husked) – 1 1/2 tbl sps
Cucumber – 3 or 4 (thin tender)
Lemon – 1
Grated Fresh Coconut – 1 tbl sp (heaped)
Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1 tbl sp
Curry leaves – 1 tbl sp
Fried  curd chillies – 3 or 4 (preserved chillies)
Salt – as required
Oil, Mustard seeds – for seasoning

1. Soak green gram dhal in water for 1 hour.
2. Squeeze out and take in a bowl.
3. Slice cucumber into thin long pieces.
4. Mix both together with salt, lemon juice, grated fresh coconut, coriander leaves and curry leaves.
5. Fry green chillies in oil along with mustard seeds and mix with salad.
6. Serve after half an hour.
