Drumstick Potato Peas Masala

A simple and tasty side dish for roti, naan or rice.
Drumstick Potato Peas Masala

Drumsticks – 2, cut into small pieces
Potatoes – 3 to 4, depending on size, chopped
Green Peas – 1 cup, shelled
Onions – 4, finely chopped
Green Chillies – 5 to 6, chopped
Tomatoes – 4, chopped
Red Chilli Powder – 3 to 4 tsp
Coriander Powder – 3 to 4 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Coriander Leaves – few
Oil – 3 to 3 1/4 tblsp

1. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Saute the onions and green chillies for 2 to 3 minutes or until onions turn golden.
3. Add tomatoes, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeic powder and salt.
4. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
5. Add drumsticks, potatoes and peas.
6. Mix well.
7. Pour 6 to 8 cups of water and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
8. When the water has almost evaporated and there is a some gravy left, sprinkle coriander leaves on top.
9. After 30 seconds add garam masala powder and stir once gently.
10. Remove from flame.
11. Serve as a sidedish to roti, naan or pulao.
