Oats Upma Recipe

Oats Upma
Ingredients:
Oats – 2 cups
Mixed Vegetables – 4 cups
Onions – 2, chopped
Ginger – 1 inch piece, peeled, chopped
Green Chillies – 5, chopped
Bengal Gram Dal – 2 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 2 tsp
Cumin SEeds – 2 tsp
Extra Virgin Olive Oil – 2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Water – 7 to 8 cups
Coriander Leaves – few, chopped
Curry Leaves – few, chopped

Method:
1. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan.
2. Fry the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and dal till mustard seeds start to splutter.
3. Add onions and saute till light golden brown.
4. Add chillies and ginger.
5. Stir-fry for 4 to 5 minutes.
6. Add the mixed vegetables.
7. Pour water and bring to a boil.
8. Add oats and salt.
9. Mix well and cover the pan with a lid.
10. Simmer till the oats are done.
11. Serve.

    You can use standard Britannia cheese that you get in the super market.
