Grated cashew nuts – 1/2 cup
Ghee – 1/2 tbsp
Milk – 1 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Butter – 1/2 tbsp
Cardomom powder – 1/2 tsp
A pinch of saffron
A few cashew nuts or pista cut into small pieces
1. Fry grated nuts in 1/2 tbsp ghee to a light brown colour on very slow fire stirring all the while. Do not allow it to get very dark. Remove, set aside.
2. Boil milk with sugar and saffron till very thick. Add fried nuts ans stir for 3-5 min.
3. When mixture gets quite thick and leaves the sides of the vessel, add cardamom powder, 1/2 tbsp of ghee stir for few a minute or so, remove from fire, pour the mixture onto a bowl, even out surface.
4. Garnish with chopped nuts
