Potato Mor Kootu

A simple and easy to make kootu with potatoes and curd.
Potatoes

Ingredients:
Potatoes – 100 gms
Coconut – 1/4
Green Chilli – 1
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Asafoetida Powder – 1/4 tsp
Peppercorns – 1/4 tsp
Plain Curd – 1/4 cup
Ginger – a small piece
Coriander Leaves – few
Coconut Oil – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste

For Tempering:
Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves – few

Method:
1. Pressure cook the potatoes and keep aside.
2. Grind the green chilli, coconut, cumin seeds, ginger and peppercorns to a fine paste.
3. Heat oil in a pan.
4. Add the ground paste, cooked potatoes and salt.
5. Stir well and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
6. Fry the tempering ingredients and asafoetida powder for 30 seconds.
7. Add to the pan and stir gently.
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
9. Remove from flame and add the curd.
10. Mix and serve hot with rice.
