Buttermilk Fried Chicken

Ingredients:
Chicken Drumsticks – 6
Maida (Plain Flour) – 1/2 cup
Buttermilk – 1/2 cup
Red Chilli Powder – 3/4 tblsp
Garlic Powder – 2 tsp
Red Chilli Flakes – 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste
Black Pepper Powder as per taste
Corn Flour – 4 tblsp
Oil for frying
Salt as per taste
Black Pepper Powder as per taste

Method:
1. Mix the maida, cornflour, red chilli powder, red chilli flakes and garlic powder in a large bowl.
2. Add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper powder.
3. Mix well and transfer 3/4ths of the mixture to a resealable plastic bag.
4. Add buttermilk to the remaining flour mixture and whisk well.
5. Add the chicken and toss well.
6. Keep it in the fridge for 6 to 8 hours.
7. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium flame.
8. Remove the chicken from the fridge and add it to the plastic bag.
9. Shake well until evenly coated.
10. Add the chicken to the pan and cook until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, turning from time to time (about 10 minutes).
11. Remove and drain excess oil.
12. Serve.
