Kosha Mangsho (Bengali Lamb Curry)

Bengali Lamb Curry
Ingredients:
Lamb – 250 gms, chopped into bite-sized pieces
Yogurt – 1/3 cup
Tomatoes – 1/4 cup, finely chopped
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp + 1/4 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 4 tsp
Onion – 1/4 cup, chopped
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Ghee – 1/3 cup
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Mix the yogurt, salt and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder in a bowl.
2. Marinate the lamb pieces for 45 minutes.
3. Heat ghee in a pan.
4. Saute the onions till translucent.
5. Add garam masala powder and cook for 5 minutes.
6. Add the lamb pieces and cook for 10 minutes.
7. Add ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and chopped tomatoes.
8. Cover the pan with a lid and cook till lamb is tender.
9. Garnish with a little garam masala powder.
10. Serve hot.
