Matar Khoya

Green Peas
Ingredients:
Khoya – 4 1/4 tblsp
Green Peas – 350 gms
Red Chilli Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
Yogurt – 1/4 cup, whisked
Brown Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Ghee – 1/4 cup
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cloves – 1
Cinnamon – 1/2 inch stick
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Heat ghee in a pan over moderate flame.
2. Add cumin, cloves and cinnamon.
3. Fry till they start to crackle.
4. Add the red chilli, turmeric and coriander powders, yogurt, salt and brown sugar.
5. Fry for a few minutes.
6. Now add the green peas and khoya along with 1/2 cup of water.
7. Cook till peas become tender.
8. Add garam masala powder and stir well.
9. Remove and serve hot.
