Ingredients

  • 500 g Boneless Lamb cut into 3 inch slices
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • as per taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 300 to 400 g Ghee
  • a pinch Saffron
  • 1 1/2 cup Curd
  • Juice of 2 Limes
  • 1 kg Onions finely sliced

Instructions

  • Mix the garam masala powder, ginger, garlic, salt, red chilli powder, ghee, saffron, curd and lime juice.
  • Marinate the lamb pieces in this mixture for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Put half the onions in a pan.
  • Spread the lamb pieces on top of it and cover with the remaining onions.
  • Cover with a lid and cook on low heat with burning coals put on the lid.
  • Alternatively, bake in a oven at 275F till the meat and onions are cooked.
  • Remove and serve hot with roti, naan or pita bread.
