Kozhi Vellai Kurma Recipe

Ingredients:
Chicken – 200 gms
Onion – 2, chopped
Tomato – 1, chopped
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Cloves – 2 to 3
Cardamom – 2 to 3
Bay leaf – 1
Green Chillies – 4
Saunf – 1 1/2 tsp
Garlic – 5 to 6 flakes
Ginger – 3 tsp
Chilli Powder – 3 tsp
Curd – 50 gms
Coconut – 1/2
Oil – 50 ml
Cashewnut – 3 to 4 tsp
Khus Khus – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Make a paste of garlic, ginger, chop onion and tomato. Slit green chillies.
2. Make a paste of coconut, Khus Khus and cashew.
3. Marinate the chicken in curd and little ginger and garlic.
4. Heat oil and add whole masalas, saunf and the onion, green chillies and fry.
5. Add ginger garlic and chopped tomato.
6. Add chicken and the rich paste and simmer (add water for consistency).
7. Check seasoning.
8. Garnish with strips of ginger and fried curry leaf.
9. Serve with appam or dosa.
