Ingredients:
Green Peas – 300 gms, minced
Potatoes – 5 to 6, small, diced
Green Chillies – 1 to 2, chopped
Ginger – 1 half inch piece, chopped
Tomatoes – 400 gms, chopped
Ghee – 1/2 cup, melted
Cumin Seeds – 1 1/2 tsp
Cloves – 6, ground
Cinnamon – 2, one inch sticks, ground
Black Peppercorns – 6 to 8, ground
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Garam Masala – 3 tsp
Green Coriander – 2 tbsp, chopped
Method:
1. Blend the green chillies, ginger and tomatoes together.
2. Heat 4 tbsp ghee in a kadai.
3. Add the minced peas and fry till the oil separates.
4. Heat 2 tbsp ghee, add the cumin seeds, when it crackles, add the fried peas and all the spices and condiments.
5. Saute, add the green chilli puree and bring to the boil.
6. Add potatoes and cook till tender.
7. Add salt and garam masala.
8. Garnish with green coriander.
9. Serve hot.
