Vegetable Balls in Hot Garlic Sauce

Ingredients:
For Vegetable Balls:
Carrots – 1/4 cup, finely cut
Cabbage – 1/4 cup, finely cut
Beans – 1/4 cup, finely cut
Fresh Bread Crumbs – 1/2 cup
Corn Flour – 2 tblsp
Salt as required
Ajinomoto – 1/4 tsp
White Pepper – 3/4 tsp
Soya Sauce – 1 tblsp
Egg – 1 (optional)
Oil for deep frying

For Hot Garlic Sauce:
Garlic – 7 flakes
Green Chillies – 5
Ajinomoto – 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Tomato Sauce – 1/4 cup
Soya Sauce – 1 1/2 tblsp
White Pepper Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Salt as required
Corn Flour – 1 1/2 tblsp
Spring Onions – 4
Oil for frying

Method:
For Vegetable Balls:
1. Stir fry vegetables in little oil with ajinomoto for 2 minutes.
2. Allow to cool and mix with salt, soya sauce, beaten egg, pepper, bread crumbs and corn flour.
3. If necessary, sprinkle little water and make small lemon sized balls from that.
4. Deep fry in hot oil till it turns dark brown in colour.
5. Keep aside.

For Sauce:
1. Remove from seeds from chillies and cut into very fine pieces.
2. Cut garlic and spring onions, onion stem into tiny pieces.
3. Heat oil and fry onions, garlic, chillies with ajinomoto in high flame for 2 minutes.
4. Mix tomato sauce, soya sauce, salt, sugar, pepper and corn flour together with one cup water.
5. Pour it to the kadai, stirring constantly till a shiny thick sauce is formed.
6. Arrange vegetable balls in a serving dish. Pour hot sauce on top.
7. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
8. Serve hot.
