Ingredients for Chilli Prawns

To Fry:

  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce – 1 tsp
  • 2 tbsp Corn Flour – 2 tblsp
  • 12 Prawns medium
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

To Prepare Sauce:

  • 2 Spring Onions
  • 1/2 Capsicum
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 3 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 3 tsp Red Chilli Sauce
  • 3 tsp Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tsp Corn Flour
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Salt to taste

How to make Chilli Prawns

  • Clean and wash the prawns well.
  • Chop the spring onions and capsicum to medium size pieces.
  • Mix the corn flour along with water to form a paste.
  • Take a bowl, add the prawn pieces, salt, soy sauce, Corn flour and mix thoroughly.
  • Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying.
  • Fry the marinated prawn pieces in oil till crisp and golden brown.
  • To another pan, add oil and heat under medium flame.
  • Add the chopped ginger, garlic and green chilly.
  • Add the chopped spring onions and capsicum.
  • Add the soy sauce, tomato sauce, red chilly sauce and needed water.
  • Cook until it gets boiled well.
  • When they are cooked well, add the fried prawns and the corn flour paste and mix well.
  • Cook until the gravy has thickened and water is fully evaporated.
  • Sprinkle spring onion on top and serve hot.
