Potato Peas Kurma
Ingredients:
Potato – 1, boiled, skin peeled, chopped
Green Peas – 1/4 cup, shelled, boiled
Onion – 1, big, chopped
Sambar Powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Tomato – 1, chopped
Lemon Juice – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil – 1 tblsp
Fennel – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon – 1/2 inch stick
Cardamom – 1
Cloves – 1
Coriander Leaves – few, chopped

Grind together:
Coconut – 1 tblsp, grated
Khus Khus – 1/2 tsp
Roasted Gram – 1/2 tblsp
Cashew Nuts – 2
Garlic – 1 clove
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Green Chillies – 2

Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Fry the cloves, cardamom, fennel seeds and cinnamon for a minute.
3. Add the onions and saute till golden brown.
4. Add tomatoes and mash well.
5. Add sambar powder, ground paste, potatoes and peas.
6. Mix well and pour enough water.
7. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for a minute or two or until it starts to boil.
8. Add lemon juice and mix well.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot with rice or with chapati.

the kurma turned out very well. I replaced sambar powder to kurma powder. everyone enjoyed the dish.thanks
