Ingredients:
Fish Steaks - 750 gms, cleaned
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Mustard Oil - 5 tblsp
Onions - 3, sliced in thin strips, to garnish
Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies - 4, slit lengthwise
Salt as per taste
Coriander Leaves - 4 sprigs, chopped, to garnish
Method:
1. Rub 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and salt into fish.
2. Keep aside to marinate for 15 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
4. Deep fry the marinated fish until light brown and keep aside.
5. Fry the onion strips till golden brown.
6. Remove, drain and keep aside.
7. Add ginger and garlic.
8. Stir lightly.
9. Add the turmeric powder and chilli powder.
10. Add the fried fish and stir well.
11. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
12. Add the green chillies.
13. Garnish with chopped coriander and onion strips.
14. Serve with plain rice.
