Braised Chicken Wings with Tofu and Spinach

Braised Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
Chicken Wings – 6, each cut into 3 pieces
Water Spinach – 75 gms, roots discarded, blanched, drained
Tofu – 1 firm cake, cut into 8 triangles
Oil – 1 1/2 tblsp
Garlic – 3/4 tblsp, chopped
Ginger – 3/4 tblsp, chopped
Fermented Bean Curd – 1 cube
Hoisin Sauce – 1/2 tblsp
Oyster Sauce – 1 tblsp
Water – 375 ml

Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add the garlic and ginger.
3. Stir for a minute or two.
4. Add the fermented bean curd and mash well.
5. Add the hoisin sauce, oyster sauce and chicken wings.
6. Pour water and simmer for 20 minutes.
7. Add the spinach and tofu triangles.
8. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
9. Transfer to a serving plate or bowl.
10. Serve at once.

Tip: Fermented bean curd or fermented tofu is a form of tofu available in most chinese or malaysian grocery shops.
