Fish Fingers - Macchi Koliwada
Ingredients:
Fish Fillets – 250 gms, cut into bite sized pieces
White Pepper Powder – 1/4 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1/4 cup
Besan – 1/2 cup
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Chaat Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Paste – 1 tblsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tblsp
Green Chillies – 1 tsp, chopped
Ginger – 1 tsp, chopped
Onions – 1/4 cup, chopped
Oil – 1/2 cup
Water as required
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Combine lemon juice, salt, ginger garlic paste and pepper powder in a bowl.
2. Marinate the fish fillets for 20 minutes.
3. In another bowl, combine all the other ingredients except oil and water.
4. Gently add water to make a batter of coating consistency.
5. Heat oil in a frying pan over moderate flame.
6. Dip the fish fillets in the batter and deep-fry until crisp and golden brown.
7. Remove and drain excess oil.
8. Serve hot with chutney of choice.
