Ingredients:
Carrot – 2, chopped
Green Capsicum – 2, finely chopped
Onion – 2, finely chopped
Cabbage – 2, chopped
Potato – 2, chopped
Brinjal – 2, chopped
Tomato – 2, halved or quartered
Okra (Bhindi) – 2, finely chopped
Spinach – 1 bunch, chopped
Coriander Leaves – handful, chopped
Green Gram Dal – 2 cups
Chana Dal – 1 cup
Green Chillies – 10
Red Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Garlic – 5 cloves
Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Oil – 5 tblsp
Ghee – 1 tblsp
Asafoetida Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pressure pan over moderate flame.
2. Add all the chopped vegetables, spinach and dals.
3. Pour enough water and mix well.
4. Now add the red chilli powder, coriander powder, garlic cloves, turmeric powder and salt.
5. Pressure cook until 3 to 4 whistles and keep aside to cool.
6. Open the pan and mash or blend all the ingredients well.
7. In a small frying pan, heat little ghee and fry the asafoetida powder.
8. Pour this over the bhaji.
9. Serve hot with rice or roti.
