Anjeeri Kum Kum

Ingredients:
Figs – 1 1/2 cups, dried
Garam Masala – 3/4 tsp
Garlic – 2/3 tsp, grated
Ginger – 2/3 tsp, grated
Green Chillies – 1 tsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
Onion – 2 tsp, grated
White pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
Mushrooms – 3 cups
Refined Oil – 2 tsp
Saffron – 2 gm
Milk – 2 tsp, to dissolve saffron
Salt to taste

Method:
1. Soak the dried figs in lukewarm water for 20 minutes.
2. Drain, wipe and chop very fine.
3. Add all the other ingredients except the mushrooms, oil, milk, and saffron.
4. Season to taste.
5. Stuff each mushroom with 8 to 10 gm of the mixture and keep aside for 20 minutes.
6. Heat the oil in a pan till moderately hot.
7. Arrange the mushrooms in the pan and let them cook on low heat for a minute.
8. Turn the mushrooms over and cook for another minute.
9. Or place the mushrooms on a greased baking dish and bake in a moderately hot oven for 5 minutes.
10. Remove the mushrooms from pan/oven.
11. Brush with saffron dissolved in milk and serve immediately.
