Pirandai Thuvaiyal (Adamant Creeper Chutney) is a very popular and healthy South Indian dish. Pirandai plant (Adamant Creeper in English and Hadjod in Hindi) has numerous health benefits and is used in Ayurveda and Siddha medicines.  It is used to treating stomach disorders, joint pains, digestion problems, lack of appetite, treatment of bones and is a natural blood purifier.
Pirandai Thuvaiyal

Ingredients:
Pirandai Leaves (Adamant Creeper) – 1 cup
Coconut – 1/2 cup
Urad Dal – 1 tblsp
Green Chillies – 3
Coriander Leaves – few
Curry Leaves – little
Tamarind – little or as required
Oil – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Add all the ingredients, except salt, and saute for a minute or two.
3. Remove and cool.
4. Add salt and then grind to a thick paste, adding little water if required
5. Serve with hot rice and ghee.
