Bread Koftas in Palak Gravy

Ingredients:

For Koftas:

Bread – 8 slices
Onions – 3 tblsp, finely cut
Green Chillies – 3, minced
Salt as per taste
Chilli Powder –  1/4 tsp
Coriander Leaves – 1/4 tblsp, chopped
Palak – 2 tblsp, finely cut
Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Oil to deep fry

For Gravy:
Onions – 2, big, cut into long pieces and 1 minced finely
Tomatoes – 3, big, cut into long thin pieces
Whipped Curds – 1/4 cup
Garlic – 10 flakes
Palak – 3 bunches
Green Chillies – 2
Salt as per taste
Chilli Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Dhania Powder – 2 tsp
Oil – 2 tblsp
Grated Cheese – 1 tblsp
Fresh Cream – 1 tblsp

Method:
1. Soak bread slices in water and squeeze immediately.
2. Knead well and mix with other kofta ingredients.
3. Make small round balls and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
4. Drain and keep aside.
5. To make the gravy, wash palak leaves and fry it in a tsp of oil for few minutes with cut chillies.
6. Pour little water, cover and keep in a low flame till it becomes soft.
7. Remove from fire and allow it to cool.
8. Fry garlic, onions and tomatoes with little oil and cool it.
9. Grind palak and the other frieds ingredients to a fine paste.
10. Heat ghee in the same pan, season with cumin seeds and fry the finely cut onions.
11. When it is translucent, add little sugar, dhania powder, salt, chillie powder and curds.
12. Add ground masala and boil for a few minutes.
13. Before removing from fire add the koftas and mix gently.
14. Heat a tsp of ghee and add garam masala powder.
15. Mix well and pour on top of the gravy.
16. Spread cheese and beaten cream on top.
17. Serve hot.
