Button Mushroom Fry

A simple snack with mushrooms.
Button Mushroom Fry

Ingredients:
Button Mushrooms – 5 to 6
Cashew Nuts – 10 to 12
Sambar Onions (Shallots) – 1 cup
Ginger – 1/4 inch piece, peeled
Green Chillies – 3 to 4
Cardamoms – 2
Cloves – 1 tsp
Saunf – 1 tsp
Ajwain – 1 tsp
Gasagasa – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – a pinch
Corn Flour – 3 tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil as required

Method:
1. Boil the mushrooms in a pan of water.
2. Drain well and finely chopped them.
3. Grind the saunf, ajwain, gasagasa, cashew nuts, green chillies and ginger to a fine paste.
4. Keep aside.
5. Heat little oil in a pan.
6. Add the cardamoms and fry for 30 seconds.
7. Add the ground paste and stir well for 30 seconds.
8. Add the mushrooms, turmeric powder and corn flour.
9. Mix well and remove from flame.
10. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
11. Heat oil for frying over medium flame.
12. Drop small portions of the mushroom mixture and fry until crisp and light golden brown.
9. Remove and serve hot.
