Dahi ki Kadhi Recipe

Sour Curd – 500 gms
Besan Flour – 2 tblsp
Ginger Paste – 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste – 1/2 tsp
Cumin – 2 tsp, ground
Onions – 2, finely chopped
Curry Leaves – 10
Green Chillies – 5 to 6, slit
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste

For Seasoning:
Oil – 2 tsp
Dry Red Chillies – 4
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Garlic – 6 cloves

For Bhajias:
Besan Flour – 3 tblsp
Salt as per taste
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder – a pinch

1. To make the kadhi, mix sour curd, besan flour, cumin, onions, curry leaves, green chillies, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic paste and salt.
2. Blend them for a few seconds.
3. Transfer them to a deep frying pan and cook for 35 to 45 minutes till it is smooth.
4. Stir occasionally so that it does not stick to the pan.
5. Meanwhile, heat 2 tsp oil in a pan.
6. Fry the seasoning ingredients till dark brown.
7. Pour it over the kadhi and cover with a lid.
8. To make the bhajias, mix besan flour with water, salt, red chilli powder and baking powder.
9. Make it to a stiff paste and keep aside for 20 minutes.
10. Make small walnut size balls.
11. Deep fry till golden brown in hot oil.
12. Put them into a bowl of water and remove after 5 minutes.
13. Squeeze out the water and drop them into the kadhi.
14. Serve hot with boiled rice.
