Prawn Curry with Coconut

Prawn Curry
Ingredients:
Tiger Prawns – 250 gms, shells intact, peeled, deveined
Coconut – 1/4, grated
Dry Red Chillies – 3
Kokum – 1
Cumin Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Coriander Seeds – 1/2 tblsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Garlic – 3 cloves
Dried Mango Slices – 1 to 2
Tamarind – 1/2 tblsp
Onion – 1, medium, chopped
Water – 120 ml
Bhindi (Okra) – 5 to 6
Oil – 1 tblsp
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Grind the coconut very finely.
2. Add the red chillies, cumin, coriander, garlic, tamarind and turmeric powder.
3. Grind to a smooth paste.
4. Apply salt on the prawns and keep aside.
5. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till brown.
6. Add the ground coconut paste and mix well.
7. Add the kokum, mango slices and prawns.
8. Pour water till it is covered and mix well.
9. Bring to a boil.
10. Add chopped bhindi and cook till thick. Adjust seasoning.
11. Serve hot with rice.
