Aloo Channa Dalna (Potato and Paneer Curry) Recipe

Potatoes – 200 gms
Paneer – 1 1/4 cups
Oil – 1/2 cup
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Ginger Paste – 4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Tomatoes – 100 gms, diced
Water – 1 1/2 cup

1. Heat half the oil.
2. Saute the potatoes and cook partially till a skin is formed. Keep aside.
3. In the same oil, saute the paneer and then dip into water.
4. Heat the remaining oil.
5. Add the cumin seeds, turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger paste, red chilli powder and salt.
6. Saute for some time.
7. Add the tomatoes and cook till the oil leaves the side of the kadai.
8. Mix in the potatoes and paneer.
9. Add water.
10. Cook for 15 minutes or till the curry thickens.
11. Transfer to a serving dish.
12. Serve hot.
