Mango Puliyodharai Recipe

Mango Slices
Raw Mango – 1, grated
Raw Rice – 3 cups, cooked
Dry Chillies – 4
Green Chillies – 2, sliced lengthwise
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Bengal Gram Dal – 2 tsp
Urad Dal – 2 tsp
Peanuts – handful
Curry Leaves – few
Asafoetida Powder – 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 4 tsp
Salt as per taste

1. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Add the dry chillies, urad dal, bengal gram dal, peanuts and fry them for a minute.
3. Remove and keep aside.
4. Add the remaining oil to the pan.
5. Fry cumin seeds, asafoetida powder and turmeric powder for 30 seconds.
6. Add the green chillies and stir-fry.
7. Add curry leaves and the fried ingredients.
8. Mix well.
9. Add this to the cooked rice.
10. Add grated mango and salt.
11. Mix well and keep it covered for 5 to 10 minutes.
12. Serve.
