Vellore Chicken Fry


Chicken – 1 cup
Onion – 1 cup
Turmeric Powder – 3 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 3 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 to 2 tsp
Green Chillies – 5
Ginger Garlic Paste – 3 to 4 tsp
Pepper Powder – 4 tsp
Curry Leaves – 1/2 cup
Coriander Leaves to garnish
Salt as per taste
Bay leaf – 2 tsp
Cloves – 1 tsp

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add bay leaf, cloves and chopped onion.
3. Fry for sometime before adding green chillies and ginger garlic paste.
4. Continue to fry.
5. Add curry leaves, coriander powder and chicken pieces.
6. Mix well.
7. Add red chilli powder and salt. Mix once again.
8. Add little water and let it boil.
9. Now add pepper powder and continue to boil on low flame till all the water has been absorbed.
10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
11. Serve hot.
